Responsibilities and Requirements 

The team is looking for a passionate and tenacious senior free-to-play designer to join them in creating innovative games designed to be experienced with friends from the get-go. 

This wide-ranging role allows you to take ownership in many areas, including the following: 

  •  Producing innovative game concepts with a passionate team to create the best games to play with friends 
  •  Designing, overseeing, and assessing new features and content to boost engagement and monetisation 
  •  Collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative data to identify areas of improvement 
  •  Designing and running live-op events to keep games alive and exciting for long-term players 

Your core responsibilities will include: 

  •  Effectively pitch, document (inc. UX wireframes), and lead the implementation of new features to improve our core KPIs 
  •  Oversee the high-level ideation and detailed balancing of enemy and player units to create exciting gameplay
  •  Create engaging content to engross our players in our worlds for thousands of hours 
  •  Balance complex game economy using data modelling tools, and illustrate economy systems to the wider team 
  •  Lead new features from concept to rollout including brainstorming, documentation, reviewing, and post-launch analysis 
  •  Perform in-depth analysis of live game data to inform design and balance changes 
  •  Oversee effective live-op services including research, design, planning and analysis of live events 

About You 

  •  Be able to present and sell ideas to the team clearly and passionately to both management and development teams 
  •  Have held a designer role on at least one live free-to-play game (preferably mid-core), including live-op support 
  •  Have the ability to produce concise design documentation that provides comprehensive guidance to the development team 
  •  Take ownership of features and collaborate closely with the team to ensure successful implementation 
  •  Have experience working in-engine to white-box level, including the placement assets, setting up enemy spawners and implementing quest logic 
  •  Have experience creating & balancing content with the use of data analysis to inform changes 
  •  Have a strong understanding of monetisation and game economy principles  Have a strong passion for games and a broad knowledge of mobile titles
