Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Create top-notch 2D visuals, including assets, icons, menus, and interface elements, ensuring they adhere to the game's artistic direction and technical specifications.
  • Develop detailed wireframes and comprehensive documentation to convey design concepts and workflows to the development team.
  • Conceptualise, mock-up, prototype, animate, and bring UI designs to life.
  • Tackle UI/UX challenges during development and post-launch phases, refining designs to enhance user experience and resolve issues.
  • Partner with team members to ensure that UI/UX design harmonises with the game's vision, contributing to an engaging player experience.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Artist to create refined, high-quality visual effects and craft impactful moments within a predominantly 2D game environment.

About You

  • Experience contributing to a shipped game on mobile, PC, or console featuring 2D elements.
  • Proficient in working with the Unity engine.
  • Highly competent in bringing complex UI components to life within the engine through animation, visual effects, and smooth transitions.
  • Capable of refining high-quality 2D artwork to align with established art styles while also helping to define new visual directions.
  • A portfolio showcasing UX design (including wireframes) and UI art that demonstrates diverse, highly detailed work with transitions driven by visual effects.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, with an affinity for striking UI design.
  • Comfortable working independently within a seasoned team.
  • Experience in developing card games is a plus.
